At the present time, the lures I have displayed are only prototypes. I made a bunch of different shapes, colors, and wood for a fishing trip to Canada this past summer, problem was, nothing was biting on anything larger than a small bass spinner. So much for my time and effort, I still had fun. I plan on hitting the water hard next season to test out the different lures I have.
They all have very unique properties. Some made from cedar, which has great "walk-the-dog" type top-water action and for popping and splashing. The "Poppers" make a pretty big splash and a lot of noise. Others are made out of maple, if you know anything about wood, maple is very dense and much heavier than cedar. These have a very interesting action. Depending on the style, they sink about a foot under the water and twist and roll around like a wounded fish as they are retrieved, stop the retrieval and they slowly float back to the surface.
